Overdentures, or implant retained dentures, are generally prescribed for, but not limited to, problematic lower dentures.

In these cases, the general complaint by patients would be about unstable lower dentures causing discomfort whilst chewing.

Implants would address these problems as they would maintain the ideal position of the denture in the mouth. This will address sore spots and pressure points. Implant candidates will be referred to Periodontists as they routinely do implant procedures and are responsible for aftercare.

Overdentures are snapped into position on the implants and are not permanently fixed in the mouth. The denture fit would be snug and easily removable for cleaning.
